Cable Hook Up If you would like cable tv in your dorm room the cost per semester is $100 per room. You can stop by the business office to pay.
IM Sand Volleyball Sign-Ups Open Sign-ups are open for IM sand volleyball. Games will be held Mon-Thurs and Sun evenings. Potential game times are 4-8pm weeknights & 2-8pm Sundays depending upon the number of teams and team availability. Be sure to refer to the eligibility & roster portions of the rules when forming teams. Check your email or pick up rules, registration, liability, & emergency info forms on the IM wall in the SFC. Return completed forms to the same area. Sign-ups close Wed 9/2 & games begin Tues 9/8. Mandatory managers meeting 8pm Thurs. 9/3 in the SFC classroom. Questions? Contact Renee Tatge, IM Director.
Child Care Needed The Evangelical Free Church of 354 Carol Court in Upper North Mankato is seeking responsible college students to do child care during parent Bible study throughout the school year from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday mornings. Student Jobs at BLC Students eligible for work-study financial aid can pick up their contracts from Connie in the Business Office (213 Old Main) between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. All other students must wait until September 8 to apply for jobs unless they have specific skills as noted in the job list. Not sure whether you were awarded work-study financial aid? Check with the Financial Aid office (263 Old Main).
Volunteer 6th Grade Volleyball Coach Needed Mt. Olive Lutheran Grade School (located just east of BLC on Marsh St.) is in need of a volunteer coach for their 6th grade volleyball team. Practices are Tuesdays and Fridays from either 2:30-4:00 or 4:15-5:30 depending on your schedule. Games are mostly on Saturdays. If you are interested, please contact Craig Zibrowski at Mt. Volunteer Soccer Coaches needed at Mt. Olive Lutheran Mt. Olive Lutheran Grade School (located just east of BLC on Marsh St.) is in need of volunteer coaches for their co-ed soccer teams. The program consist of students in grades 5-8, and is planning to have a lower-grade squad and a upper-grade squad. Practices are on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:30-4:00PM on the Bethany soccer practice field. They play in two tournaments in Sept. and play matches during the week, usually on practice nights. America Reads / Counts Work Study BLC students from all majors are invited to participate in American Reads and Counts, a paid work study program that involves tutoring children in reading and math. Tutoring typically occurs at the child's school and matches your schedule during or after school hours on any weekdays. Candidates must clear a background check. Contact Mike Butzow in Old Main 227 beside the registrar's office to apply or to get more information. It's a great way to get paid while gaining experience, representing BLC, and serving the community.
Child Care Opportunity at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church The MOMs Bible study group at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church at 1123 Marsh St in Mankato is seeking responsible college students to do child care for toddlers during their meetings on Wednesday mornings from 8:10 to 10:00 from Sept. 16 through Dec. 9. Compensation is $10 per meeting. Candidates will be asked to agree to a background check. If interested or for more information, contact Ms. Rachel Ulrich at renderle@gmail.com.

Camp with X-terrain The X-terrain club will be going camping on Friday September 11th to Saturday morning at Flandrau (ride provided). Tell us you are coming by this Friday on our Facebook page "x-terrain sports club" (other information will be given there as well). The cost is $5 and we will provide food and tents. It will be a fun filled night of hiking, talking by the campfire, sleeping in a tent, and meeting new friends!
