Tasha, a therapy dog, will be on campus on Monday, December 11th from 6:30 to 7:30 by the green chairs and would love to meet you! She is a Samoyed. No appointment needed, just stop by!
Playwriting Class Public Readings
Mon., December 11
On Monday and Tuesday, December 11 & 12, the Playwriting Class will have staged readings of their final one-act plays in the Sigurd Lee Theatre starting at 7pm each night. Four plays will be read and enacted each night. Come take a study break and support these student playwrights.
Res Hall over Christmas Break
Tue., December 12
The Res Halls close for Christmas Break at noon on Fri. Dec 15. If you need to be on campus any time between noon on Fri 12/15/17 and noon on Sun 1/7/18, you need to fill out a waiver. ARC Hours During Exam WeekThe Academic Resource Center (ARC) will be open the following hours during the week of exams: Monday, Dec. 11 -- 10:30am-3pm; Tuesday, Dec. 12 -- 8-10am, 11am-3pm; Wednesday, Dec. 13 -- 10:30am-2:30pm. The ARC will be closed after 2:30pm on Wednesday for Christmas Break, and will re-open on Monday, January 8 from 7-10pm.
Teach English in China at UICExperience life in China while working as a paid intern in the English Language Center at United International College in Zhuhai, China, an 80 minute ferry ride from Hong Kong. This is available to December or May graduates with a 3.0 grade point average or higher. The living arrangements are nice and the pay is good. Room ChecksRes Life will be conducting room checks over Christmas Break. Please remember to take out your garbage, unplug unnecessary items (fridges can stay plugged in), turn off lights and alarm clocks, close windows, and take with you perishable food. Also, if you have any dishes from the dining center, please return them. You RHC will email you the room checks date for your building. ARC HoursThe Academic Resource Center is open for quiet study and test proctoring on Sundays through Thursdays from 7-10 pm and on Fridays from 10:30am-2:00pm. Additional test proctoring opportunities are available from 10:30-3:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As a courtesy, please sign up for a test proctoring time by going to the Academic Resources Quicklink on MyBLC. You will also see the weekly calendar for the ARC---breaks and special hours in the library may impact the hours the ARC is open.
