Bethany’s Media Arts Department presents the twelfth annual Red Eye Film Festival. Red Eye is a weeklong competition between student teams from Bethany Lutheran College, Minnesota State University, Mankato, and South Central College. Assistant Professor of Biology Chad Heins began a program counting migratory raptors on the Bethany campus over a decade ago. The program came to be known as Bethany Hawkwatch. During the 2016 counting season, volunteers at the Bethany Hawkwatch observed 9,530 raptors representing 20 species from August 15th to December 15th. Alumna Malia (Krohn) Wiley (’08) is a talented artist, and she was recently honored as the winner of the "Gallery 5004 Best Painting Award" at the Minnesota State Fair's 106th Fine Arts Exhibition. MANKATO, Minn.  – Bethany Lutheran's Nick Caldeen (Blaine, Minn.) joins the Thunder Bay Border Cats of the Northwoods League to conclude the 2017 schedule.
