Instrumental Ensembles

Concert Band

The Concert Band serves as the foundation of all instrumental ensembles on campus. Students learn and experience a variety of repertoire throughout each week. Opportunities abound for chamber ensembles to perform at chapel services and events on campus. The four main Concert Band performances are at Fall Festival, Christmas at Bethany, Tour Kick-off Concert, and the Spring Concert.

Chamber Orchestra

The Chamber Orchestra is co-directed and is the one instrumental ensemble that merges with larger musical groups throughout the year. In the fall, they collaborate with the Concert Choir, and in the spring, they join the concert band in full orchestra selections. The Chamber Orchestra also has several chapel performances throughout the year.

Jazz Band

The Jazz Band performs music ranging from the classic big band repertoire to today's leading jazz composers. The Jazz Band meets every week and enjoys several on-campus and off-campus performances.

B-Town Drumline

The B-Town Drumline was founded by Benjamin Faugstad in 2004, and continues to be led by students to this day. It is an energy-packed ensemble made up of Bethany students who love to drum, regardless of prior experience. The B-Town Drumline rehearses on a weekly basis, and performs at games and other events throughout the fall semester. In the spring, this group switches to World Percussion Instruments, especially focusing on Latin Music.

Pep Band

The Bethany Pep Band is open to any musicians that enjoy performing at home basketball games. The group kicks off the spring semester with rehearsals and a handful of performances.

Various small ensembles for woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion, and mixed groups have also formed for special events or activites. For individual advancement, private lessons are readily available for all instruments.
