Duo Zeno, Saxophone and Marimba Recital by Preston Duncan and Scotty Horey

Preston Duncan is a performer and teacher in the Twin Cities. He is currently on the faculty at the University of Minnesota-Morris, Minnesota State University-Mankato and Bethany Lutheran College.  He received his bachelor of saxophone performance in 1996 from Indiana University. He continued his studies at Bowling Green State University where he received his masters of music in Saxophone Performance in 1999. In 2002 he completed his Artist Diploma at The Boston Conservatory. Duncan was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship in 1996 for study in France with Jean-Yves Fourmeau. He is currently pursuing a doctorate of musical arts from the University of Minnesota with Dr. Eugene Rousseau. 

Duncan regularly performs as orchestral member with The Minnesota Orchestra. Duncan has appeared as soloist on two Indianapolis Pops concerts and with the Indianapolis Symphony. A Yamaha Young Performing Artist, he has appeared as soloist across the United States and internationally.

Scotty Horey is a passionate and versatile percussionist and music teacher in the twin cities. He is a faculty member of the University of Minnesota as a percussion teacher, principal percussionist of the Ohio Light Opera, and principal percussionist of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra. He holds a D.M.A. and an M.M.A. from the University of Minnesota and B.A. in Performance from the University of Maine, Orono. Scotty has performed and collaborated with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, The Mankato Symphony Orchestra, the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, The Minnesota Chorale, The Singers: Minnesota Choral Artists, Bob Becker, Eric Sammut, Libby Larsen, Morton Lauridsen, and Steven Schick.

The recital is free and open to the public.
