Allison Czer made her European debut in the summers of 2009 and 2010. There, she continued to study art song, opera scenes, and work with a wide array of renowned vocal coaches, directors, and teachers. In June of 2010, at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica – Fondazione Scuole Civiche di Milano, she performed the role of Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosí fan Tutte with great acclaim under the musical direction of Shari Rhoads, and celebrated stage director, Joachim Rathke.

Allison also performed the role of Violetta in Verdi’s  La Traviata at the University of Iowa School of Music in January, 2011. She has been particularly praised for her lyricism, legato color, striking appearance, and dramatic resonance.

In recent years, she has performed major roles including Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosí fan Tutte (2010), Arminda in Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera (2010), and Venus in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld (2009). While maintaining a balance of opera, coursework, and teaching, Allison has also performed in the University of Iowa Opera Production Scenes Program. She was cast as Countess Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Lucy in Benjamin Britten’s The Beggar’s Opera, and Fiordiligi in Cosí fan Tutte, under the direction of Gary Briggle (Lyric Opera of Cleveland). She has also gone on to perform several featured soloist engagements including Schubert’s Mass in G (2005), Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang (covered 2009), Mendelssohn’s “O for the wings of a dove” (2007), and a featured soloist for “Christmas at Bethany” in the 2004-2008 continuous seasons.
