Mankato Place Theater
The mission of the Speechless Film Festival is to challenge individuals from different countries and cultures to communicate with each other through the universal medium of visual (but not silent) storytelling.

Speechless awards one professional and student winner in three categories: long form narrative, short form narrative, and animation/experimental/other. Professional winners will be awarded a $1,000 prize and student winners will be awarded a $500 prize. Speechless also includes a category for productions created by high school students. The prize for this category is a $2,000 scholarship to Bethany and over $250 in cash prizes.

Located in downtown Mankato, The Mankato Place Theater (the city's oldest movie theater) will showcase the festival's selected films. The Mankato Event Center is housed in the same historic downtown mall as the Mankato Place Theater and will serve as the festival hub.
