Addictive Behaviors - New Time and Date
This event had been scheduled for last Thursday, the 18th, but due to the very unspringlike weather, it has been rescheduled for Thursday, the 25th, at 8:00pm in the Meyer Lecture Hall. The description of this event follows:
Addictive Behavior is any activity, substance, object, or behavior that becomes the major focus of a person's life resulting in a physical, mental, and/or social withdrawal from their normal day to day obligations.
Some of the more known addictions may include alcohol, nicotine, drugs, caffeine, coffee, pornography, video games, relationships, television, gambling, Facebook, sex, adrenaline, shopping, sleeping, exercise, eating issues, prescription drugs, excessive internet use, celebrity gossip, work, daily news,...etc.
Mike McGinnis, from Mankato's 'Addiction Recovery Technologies', will be our welcomed and experienced speaker this evening! He has a renowned career, working in the Mankato School District directly with troubled students. Mike has a captivating charm and connects with the youth and his audiences.
Come and listen to someone who has been working on the front lines with addictive behavior and its consequences, and know that you will make the best use of your time this evening. We welcome you, your family, friends, and neighbors!
