Biography

Sara Edwards has built her career at the intersection of law, education, and mentorship, with a steadfast commitment to teaching for vocation in a Christ-centered way. As a professor in the legal studies, criminal justice, and paralegal programs, and coach of the Bethany’s award-winning mock trial team, she is passionate about helping students not only master their craft, but also pursue their calling with integrity and purpose. She also serves as legal counsel to the President, is a member of the Bethany’s Cabinet, and is the advisor to the law club—roles that give her a unique perspective on how law and faith intersect in both campus life and the wider world.

Sara earned her degree in Political Science (Pre-Law) from the University of Central Florida and her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her legal roots run deep—she is the great-niece of the late Chief Justice of the United States, Warren E. Burger—yet she has carved her own path as an educator, advocate, and attorney.

Dedicated to helping students reach their full potential, Sara works tirelessly to see them gain acceptance into their top-choice law schools or achieve success in their chosen law enforcement careers. Whether guiding students through a challenging mock trial problem, celebrating admission into law school, or praying with a student before a big interview, Sara is known for her warmth, dedication, and unwavering belief in her students’ ability to make a difference for Christ in the world.
