What to Bring

Every room is equipped with beds, desks, chairs, closets, and shelving, and the residence hall lounges have an oven, microwave, sink, and television. Apartments in Edgewood Place and Larson Hall also have private bathrooms.

Recommended Items

  • Mattress cover and sheets (women: standard twin; men: long twin)
  • Pillow, pillowcase, bedspread, extra blankets
  • Shower caddy
  • Laundry baskets and high-efficiency detergent
  • Radio, stereo, television (cable TV service available at extra charge)
  • Alarm clock
  • Desk lamp or bedside lamp
  • Posters and photos (no tacks or nails)
  • Storage bins or small dresser
  • Bicycle (may store in room)
  • Desktop/laptop computer
  • Carpeting (Edgewood Place and Larson Hall are carpeted)
  • Vacuum cleaner (if you will have carpet in your room)
  • Refrigerator (3 cu. ft. or less, 2.5 amps or less, limit one per room)

What NOT to Bring

  • Landline phones (service is not available in rooms; there are phones in each lounge)
  • Microwaves, hotplates, toasters, corn poppers
  • Space heaters, air conditioners
  • Halogen lamps
  • Candles, incense
  • Waterbeds, lofts, platforms
  • Alcoholic beverage containers or signs
  • Posters that are not in good taste
  • Pets (only fish are allowed, 10 gallon tank max.)
  • Additional furniture (due to limited space)
  • Firearms or weapons, even for hunting
