Introduction to Art
Biography
I was born in Eagle Bend, Minnesota, and have lived in San Diego, California; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Aix En Province, France. I spent the first 14 years out of undergraduate school working as a manager of the Midwest Warehouse of Lutheran World Relief.
Academic Interests/Specialties
I specialize in mixed media installation and conceptual drawing projects.
Education
- BA in Visual Art from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter MN (1989)
- MFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (2005)
Awards
I have received Minnesota Individual Artist Grants in 2001 and 2009. I have shown my work at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, The Minnesota Museum of American Art, and recently at the Kala Art Institute of Art San Francisco and the AIR Gallery in Budapest, Hungary.
