Case: Norbert is an attorney who works as a public defender for accused persons who cannot afford to pay a lawyer. He is assigned to defend Willie who is accused of kidnapping and murdering a child. In confidence, Willie admits to Norbert that he did commit the crime, but wont plead guilty be4cause he is sure the evidence against his is only circumstantial. Even though she knows Willie is guilty and suspects that Willie if free might well repeat his crime, Norbert conducts a strong and ultimately successful defense. Willie is set free.
