Study Abroad Returnee Panel How much does it cost to study abroad? Where can I go? Why is it important? Get answers to these and other questions at the Study Abroad Info Basics and Returnee Panel next Monday at 7 p.m. in HH 103. Hear from recent returnees from abroad and the Study Abroad Coordinator.

Cross Cultural Outreach Opportunity Peace Lutheran Church is looking for volunteers for their English Conversation Ministry. In this ministry, volunteers share the basics of the Gospel Message with immigrant populations through small group English conversation sessions. Materials are prepared in advance for volunteers and there is no preparation required. The sessions are offered at Peace Lutheran Church in North Mankato every Monday from 9:30am to 11:00am. Please contact Matt Behmer if you are interested in volunteering.
Bethany Tennis A busy weekend ahead for the Bethany men's and women's Tennis teams. Here is the schedule this weekend: Friday, February 5th the men's and women's teams will play Grand View starting at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the men's team will play Bethel and Wartburg while the women's team will play Bethel and Northwestern (IA). All matches will be played in Owatonna, Minnesota. Good luck to the Tennis teams!
Indoor Track and Field On Saturday, February 6th, the men's and women's Indoor Track and Field teams will compete in the Lake Superior Challenge in Duluth, Minnesota. The meet begins at 11 a.m. Good luck to all Bethany athletes competing in the meet.
Home Basketball Games The last two regular season home basketball games are this coming weekend (Feb. 5 - Feb. 6) against Northland and Finlandia. On Friday, Mankato Dance Express will provide the half-time entertainment for both the men's and women's game starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday against Finlandia, the Bethany Drumline will be performing at half-time of the men's game starting at 3 p.m. Come out and support the Vikings in the final regular season home games. GO VIKINGS!
Superbowl Party Superbowl Party Sunday Feb 7 in the Viking Village. Get ready for free food, drinks, prizes, and, of course, football on the big screen! Food at 5pm, kickoff at 5:30pm. Come early for the good seats!
Science Symposium Join us for the Science Symposium, held Monday and Tuesday, February 8 & 9, at 7pm in MH 101. BLC alum Leah Preus will speak on "Understanding the role of genetics in clinical outcomes" and Tuesday's guest, Ron Smith, will discuss "Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy."
Bethany Auxiliary Meeting The Mankato chapter of the Bethany Auxiliary will meet on Tues., Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in Honsey Hall 239. Amanda Quist will present "Community Television at BLC." Mankato public access TV is operated by BLC, and this talk will cover the basics of public access TV, Bethany's involvement, new community coverage, and more. EVERYONE is welcome to attend the presentation. Following the presentation the auxiliary will hold their business meeting. Membership is open to any women interested in supporting BLC by staying informed of BLC events and participating in fundraising for BLC student projects.
Volunteer Opportunity - Capstone Literacy Center The Capstone Literacy Center is seeking volunteer tutors for 45 minute sessions one day a week for 10 weeks to assist struggling readers in grades 1-5. Tutoring starts Feb. 8 and ends April 18. No experience is required as Capstone staff trains volunteers. Available times are Mon. 4:00-4:45 in North Mankato; Tues. 3:15-4:00 at Lincoln Center in Mankato; and Wed. at either 3:00-3:45 or 4:00-4:45 in North Mankato. IM Racquetball Signups IM singles racquetball sign-ups are open. Email Renee Tatge at by Wednesday 2/10/16 to get on the schedule. Games must be completed within a scheduled time frame but actual game times will be left up to each pair of opponents. Schedule will be emailed out by Monday 2/15/16.
