Communication Major Open House The Communication Department will hold a Communication Major Open House on Wednesday, October 22 from 3:00-5:00. Come find out what a Communication degree can do for you. At 3:30 there will be an official acceptance of the new majors.
Career Cafe' “Come join Dr. Lars Johnson and Dr. Ryan MacPherson for Career Café, where you will discover how to refine your resume, work/graduate school application, and even your interviewing and networking skills. The workshop will take place on October 21st in the main floor conference room in Honsey Hall at 7:00 pm. Evolution - Not a Chance! Presentation This program will compare and contrast chance and design as explanations for the complexity seen in living things. It will show that the evidence for creation is specified and integrated complexity. This presentation will be given by Dr. David Menton. Dr. Menton is involved in the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. It will be at 7:00 on October 21 at Immanuel Lutheran Church (421 N 2nd Street).

IM Basketball Sign-ups are open for mens and womens IM BB. Games will be held Mon-Thurs and Sun evenings. Potential game times are 4-10:00pm depending upon the number of teams. Be sure to refer to the eligibility & roster portions of the rules when forming teams! Rules, roster, liability, and emergency information forms can be picked up from the IM wall in the Sports and Fitness Center. Completed forms can be returned to the same area. The Freshman 15: What Every Successful College Student Should know You’ve probably heard about the “Freshman 15.” While it’s certainly important to watch what you’re eating those first months in the dining hall, there are plenty of other ideas you need to “ingest” if you want to start college off right. In this keynote, Justin will drop 15 pounds of knowledge, success and perspective on you! You will laugh and look at things differently, helping set the stage for big things in your first year at college (ideal for first-year, transfer, or any students who want to gain additional insight/edge on their journey through college).
Move in Missions Move In Missions unites people from around the world to move at the same time. We will be starting with a devotion at 9:30 am on Oct. 25th in the chapel. From their we will be having a walk near Bethany followed by a competitive game of musical chairs on the green. Their will be food and drinks along with a prize for the winner of musical chairs. Tim Wildauer will be giving our first Student Topic Talk, titled "Finding the Unexpected: What does a Greek poet have to do with your midterm grades?"
