STEPS OF PAUL Want to trace the steps of St. Paul's missionary journeys in Turkey? Prof. Adie Harstad, Chaplain Moldstad and Dr. Bill Kessel will be leading a study tour in May, 2015. It is a 13 day trip. BLC students can earn 3 credits in Religious Studies. Come to an informational meeting at 6:30PM on Tuesday, Sept. 16th, in MH202, or speak with Chaplain Moldstad.
Psychology Club Meeting The Psychology Club will have its meeting on Tuesday, September 16 at 8:15 p.m. in The Lab Coffee Shop. All majors are welcome! CIDR "Take 5" Kickoff Update Due to scheduling conflicts, the "Take Five" Kickoff meeting scheduled for this evening in the Intercultural Center has been moved to tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17th, 8:30pm. This should not interfere with the guest speaker on campus. Same bat time, same bat channel...just a day later. See you there!
School photo time! All students and faculty are REQUIRED to get their school photo taken. These are used in the yearbook and campus directory. Come to the green chair area of Old Main on Wed., Sept. 17 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or Thurs., Sept. 18, 1-4 p.m. Bring your ID, and a smile. 2013-2014 yearbooks will also be given out to returning students at that time.
Native Americans and the US Constitution Celebrate Constitution Day with guest speaker Justice R. A. (Jim) Randall (Minnesota Court of Appeals, Retired), who will discuss “The Dakota 38 and the U.S. Constitution” on Wednesday, September 17, 7 pm in MH 101. All are welcome to attend. Sponsored by the History Dept. and Pre-Law Club.

Aaron Ferkenstad brings practical experience and a globally renowned management system to a workshop that will definitely improve your success in college or employment! His short talk will be followed by a 'guided workshop' where you will implement these skills in your own life! Attended last year? Come again for a refresher course, plus advancement to the next level. Aaron has graciously offered to give this talk for all GTD levels, each semester, while attending Bethany Seminary. Last year we had 1,227 raptors pass over campus during that window. Guess how many will pass over during the same dates this year. America Reads and Counts BLC students interested in tutoring local school children through the America Reads and America Counts federal work study programs, please see Mike Butzow in Old Main 227 to express your interest. These paid opportunities provide meaningful experience in helping others while adding depth to your resume. BLC students from any major may apply. Tutoring opportunities are matched to your schedule.
Career and Internship Fair The Minnesota Twins will be hosting a Career and Internship Fair at Target Field on Sept. 23. Open positions for a variety of majors. Viking Cup 2014 It's coming Oct 6-10... Viking Cup 2014! Listen for info from Res Life and watch for details posted around campus. Viking Cup is a week-long competition between the dorms meant to foster school spirit and friendly rivalry. Each night, representatives from each dorm compete to win points for their dorm while their dormmates cheer them on. Points are added up after each activity culminating in an overall Viking Cup winner at the end of the week. Gullixson was the Viking Cup 2012 and 2013 champion and took home the trophy!
