Two 'Sleep Talks' on Wed in The Younge Gym! Sleep! Is it a luxury, or a necessity? Expert, Dr. Jennifer Prichard, will address a 7:30pm audience on Wednesday, the 24th, in the Younge Gym on “Waking Up to the Importance of Sleep!”, followed by a 9:00pm talk directed to athletes (all are welcome!) on “Sleep: The Most Important 8 Hours of Training in Your Day!” Are those 'all-nighters' really productive? Speech Team Success The Bethany Speech Team hosted the first debate tournament of the year last Friday and Saturday. 19 debate teams from 5 schools attended. Bethany was represented by the teams of William Soule/Jacob Schneider and Shawn Loging/Jeff Olsen. Will and Jacob won the tournament. Will was named the top speaker in the tournament. Jacob was 3rd with Jeff and Shawn coming in 6th and 8th respectively.
Viking Cup 2014 It's coming Oct 6-10... Viking Cup 2014! Listen for info from Res Life and watch for details posted around campus. Viking Cup is a week-long competition between the dorms meant to foster school spirit and friendly rivalry. Each night, representatives from each dorm compete to win points for their dorm while their dormmates cheer them on. Points are added up after each activity culminating in an overall Viking Cup winner at the end of the week. Gullixson was the Viking Cup 2012 and 2013 champion and took home the trophy!

IM Flag Football Sign-Ups Sign-ups are open for IM flag football. Games will be held Mon-Thurs and Sun evenings. Potential game times are 4-10pm weeknights & 2-10pm Sundays depending upon the number of teams and team availability. Be sure to refer to the eligibility & roster portions of the rules when forming teams. Pick up rules, registration, liability, & emergency info forms on the IM wall in the SFC. Completed forms can be returned to the same area. Sign-ups close Fri 9/26 & games begin Wed 10/1. Mandatory managers meeting 8pm Mon 9/29 in the SFC classroom. Questions?
