The MSU-Mankato Forensic Program strives to create opportunities for self-improvement and program excellence in the arena of competitive speaking. Any undergraduate student enrolled at MSU-Mankato is eligible to participate regardless of pervious experience or selected major.

Maverick Forensics Information

¨ Competes in all 11 standard AFA individual events and Parliamentary Debate

¨ Travels to over 20 tournaments a year

¨ Ranked 19th at the National Forensic Association National Championship Tournament in 2007

¨ Ranked 19th at the American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament and 8th at the National Forensic Association National Championship Tournament in 2006

¨ Team member was 4th ranked overall speaker at the National Forensic Association National Championship Tournament in 2006

¨ Offers Talent Grant Scholarships for incoming first year students

¨ Has a large paid coaching staff of faculty and graduate assistants

¨ Team has a strong academic focus with several program alums attending graduate or law school following graduation
