Choraliers perform "Patience" by Gilbert & Sullivan
The Bethany Choraliers, under the direction of Ann Fredrickson and the musical direction of Dennis Marzolf, present Gilbert and Sullivan's "Patience." In true G&S fashion, "Patience" fills the stage with unlikely combinations of characters and situations producing an ample supply of laughs and entertainment. Aesthetic poet Bunthorne and the practically perfect Archibald Grosvenor vie for the attention and love of idealistic young Patience. Portly and proud Lady Jane bemoans the fate of anyone left in maidenhood as long as she. And twenty love-sick maidens shun the attentions of as many Dragoon Guards who have little interest in aesthetics or poetry. As always, in the end, nearly everyone lives happily ever after. The perfect cure for late-winter doldrums! Advance reservations may be made by calling the Bethany Box Office at 507-344-7374 Monday through Friday between 1 and 5 p.m. from February 8th through the 26th.
