Arpeggione Duo returns to Bethany
The Arpeggione Duo, with Christopher Kachian on guitar and Thomas Schönberg on cello, returns to the Bethany campus for another evening of delightful music.The concert will be presented in Bethany’s Trinity Chapel and will include French Suite No 6 in E by J.S. Bach, Chinese Folk Song Suite arranged by Thomas Schonberg, Duo KV 423 by W.A. Mozart, and Jazz Duets by Joe Pass and Herb Ellis. Kachian has performed throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia and with orchestras in Germany as well as the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Minnesota Opera. His American performances alone number over 1000 solo and chamber music concerts. Schönberg has also performed numerous concerts as a soloist, conductor, and cellist. He toured world-wide as a founding member of Ars Nova Trio, and with the Kaohsiung Symphony from Taiwan for several years as soloist and conductor. In the United States he has been principal cellist with Maryland Symphony, Hopkins Symphony, SDSU New Music Ensemble and Collegium Musicum of Hartford. The recital is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
