The Bjarne Wollan Teigen Reformation Lectures will explore the topic of Bible translations. Dr. Cameron MacKenzie of Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, will speak on the history of Bible translations, especially the work of Martin Luther and the King James Version. Pres. Paul Wendland of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin, will address the various challenges posed in translating, "word for word" (formal equivalency), and "thought for thought" (functional equivalency).
