Career Cafe' “Come join Dr. Lars Johnson and Dr. Ryan MacPherson for Career Café, where you will discover how to refine your resume, work/graduate school application, and even your interviewing and networking skills. The workshop will take place on October 21st in the main floor conference room in Honsey Hall at 7:00 pm. Stop by, soak in some post graduation career advice, and help yourself to some free coffee and pastries. Evolution - Not a Chance! Presentation This program will compare and contrast chance and design as explanations for the complexity seen in living things. It will show that the evidence for creation is specified and integrated complexity. This presentation will be given by Dr. David Menton. Dr. Menton is involved in the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. It will be at 7:00 on October 21 at Immanuel Lutheran Church (421 N 2nd Street).
Want to be a Psych Major? Here's what to do! The Psychology Department will be conducting Entry into the Major Interviews the week after Fall Break (October 23rd). Please come by Dr. Stadler's office (Honsey 325) to pick up application materials and sign up for an interview time. Application materials for the fall cycle must be submitted by Monday, October 20th at 5:00 p.m.
Communication Major Open House The Communication Department will hold a Communication Major Open House on Wednesday, October 22 from 3:00-5:00. Come find out what a Communication degree can do for you. At 3:30 there will be an official acceptance of the new majors.
Psych Club Game Night Come join the Psych Club for some fun in The Lab Coffee Shop THIS THURSDAY (Oct. 23rd), starting at 8:15 p.m. We will be playing rounds of CHARADES as a way to celebrate the start of the second half of the semester. Come join the fun! Everyone is invited! Can we put more exclamations into this announcement?!?! I don't think so! Okay, maybe one more!
IM Basketball Sign-ups are open for mens and womens IM BB. Games will be held Mon-Thurs and Sun evenings. Potential game times are 4-10:00pm depending upon the number of teams. Be sure to refer to the eligibility & roster portions of the rules when forming teams! Rules, roster, liability, and emergency information forms can be picked up from the IM wall in the Sports and Fitness Center. Completed forms can be returned to the same area. Rosters are due Fri 10/24. MANDATORY manager's meeting Sun 10/26 7pm in the SFC classroom. Games begin Mon 10/27. Questions? Please contact Renee Tatge, IM Dir.

Tim Wildauer will be giving our first Student Topic Talk, titled "Finding the Unexpected: What does a Greek poet have to do with your midterm grades?"
