Internet Public Library - Site of the Week

Welcome to the first Site-of-the-Week of the new school year!  I try to keep a variety of websites that will interest many of you, but sometimes I run across a plethora of a certain subject (Education springs to mind).  Today's site is one that will be of value to the great majority of you.  It's called the Internet Public Library and has a wide variety of information on many different topics.

The Internet Public Library is by no means a replacement for a brick and mortar building with helpful people in it, but it is a nice place to look for information if the library is closed.  This site is supported and maintained by/through two universities (University of Michigan School of Information and Drexel University's College of Information Science & Technology).  They don't mess around with their information either!  You can find a wide variety of topics like: arts & humanities, business, computers, education, leisure, law & government, health, science and more!  They also have access to their policies regarding their privacy statement, copyright information, citation information and their terms of use.

The special collections area is a good one right now, they have information about the election there (along with other topics).
