Men's Soccer Coach

Rob Pipal

A former Bethany athlete, Rob Pipal is in his 12th season leading the Bethany men's soccer program. His playing credentials include 20 years with the Corinthian Soccer Club, which won the MSA top division four times and the MRSL top league four times, as well as his two years on Bethany's soccer team where he earned the team's "Mr. Hustle" award. Other coaching honors include NJCAA Region 13 Coach of the Year in 2002 and winning the 2002 Dana Cup U-19 "B" flight trophy in Denmark with the Mankato United U-17 girls team.

Pipal has a "Premier Diploma" from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and a master's degree in sports psychology. Pipal and his wife, Lori, have three children and make their home in Mankato.

Assistant coach Oliver Lundquist

A graduate of Mankato West High School, Oliver Lundquist started his Bethany career as a member of the 2000 soccer team. He was a first-year starter on a successful team with a record of 15-3-2. Lundquist rejoined the team in 2003, where he was captain and the leading scorer with 12 goals and 4 assists.

Due to an ACL injury, the 2004 season was frustrating, but Lundquist came back in 2005 again as the leading scorer and captain of the team. Lundquist's speed and excellent skills make him one of the best offensive players ever to play under Pipal.

Lundquist started coaching part-time in 2006 and moved to full-time status in 2007. He graduated from Bethany in 2007 with a degree in business administration.
