History: Bethany Lutheran College is a private, residential, Christian, coeducational, liberal
arts college founded in 1927, owned and operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
Campus
Overlooking the scenic Minnesota River Valley, the campus occupies over 50 acres
(20 hectares) with 11 buildings, including two men's and two women's residence
halls and two athletic fields. Every building on campus is wired for Internet
access and computer use.

Enrollment:
The average full-time enrollment is nearly 540 full-time and 28 part-time students.
Students usually attend from over 28 states in the U.S.A. and more than 13 foreign
countries.
Admission: To be considered for admission, an international student must submit an international student
application, $40US application fee, official school transcripts for all secondary schools and universities and officially translated
English copies, proof of English proficiency, a certificate of financial responsibility and supporting documentation. All international
students must have college-approved medical insurance.

Financial Aid:
Bethany offers financial assistance through the awarding of merit scholarships

Location: Situated on McMahon Hill, Bethany is located in Mankato, Minnesota (population 45,000), 125km southwest
of Minneapolis-St. Paul. Minnesota is a model state for the U.S.A. in education, health care, economic development, and government.
Mankato was recently named one of the top 10 best cities with a population under 50,000 in which to live in the U.S.A. Located in
the north central part of the United States, known as "America's Heartland," Mankato offers most of the amenities of a large
metropolitan area (concerts, shopping malls, athletic events, etc.) in a safe environment to enjoy them. Mankato is in an area of the
U.S.A. that features four seasonal changes. Climatic conditions vary widely from season to season. Temperatures in this area of Minnesota
average approximately 22°C in the summer (June-August), 9°C in the autumn (September-November), -7°C in the winter (December-February),
and 11°C in the spring (March-May).
Residence Halls
Residence halls are available to all students; Resident Assistants know what
it is like to be new at Bethany. They are available to help students with academic,
personal, and social issues. Students with personal computers can access Bethany's
network and the Internet from residence hall rooms. Several campus locations
provide computers for student use along with Mac and PC labs in the Meyer Hall
of Science and Mathematics and the Old Main building.
